Itinerary

  1. Day 1

Da Nang – Quy Nhon – Ghenh Rang Tien Sa

We leave Da Nang early and drive south on Highway 1 through Quang Ngai, stopping for lunch on the way. You check in at a beachfront hotel in Quy Nhon in the afternoon. After a rest we go to Ghenh Rang Tien Sa, climbing Thi Nhan Hill to the grave of the poet Han Mac Tu and dropping down to Egg Rock Beach, covered in stones rounded smooth by centuries of surf. The evening is free along the Xuan Dieu seafront for seafood.

  2. Day 2

Ky Co – Eo Gio – Nhon Ly fishing village

In the morning we go to the Nhon Ly jetty and take a speedboat fifteen minutes to Ky Co, a beach caught between two headlands where the water is shallow and clear enough to see the sand beneath it. There is time to swim and snorkel, with a seafood lunch served on the beach. In the afternoon we go up to Eo Gio and walk the stone path along the cliff above a curved inlet where the wind blows year-round. On the way back we stop in Nhon Ly fishing village to see the basket boats and the murals painted through the lanes.

  3. Day 3

Twin Towers – Thien Hung Pagoda – return to Da Nang

We check out and visit the Twin Towers, a pair of Cham brick towers from around the twelfth century standing in the middle of Quy Nhon. We drive out to An Nhon for Thien Hung Pagoda and its twelve-storey stupa, and stop at the Banh It towers on a hill above the Kon River. The coach leaves for Da Nang around midday, with a lunch stop on the way, arriving in the late afternoon.

Quy Nhon is about 300 kilometres south of Da Nang and still far quieter than Nha Trang or Da Nang itself. That is precisely the reason to go: clean beaches, cheap seafood, and enough space at Ky Co to find a stretch of sand to yourself.

Day two is the heart of the trip. Ky Co and Eo Gio are both on the Phuong Mai peninsula, so we spend the whole day out there rather than splitting them up. We aim to reach the jetty early, while the sea is still calm enough for a comfortable crossing.

The programme travels by road in both directions. If you would rather fly one leg into Phu Cat Airport to save time, we can rework the schedule — just raise it before the itinerary is finalised.
